Bearcode explores the relationship between our virtual and physical identities. Since adopting THECOLORG as my online name in 2010, I have become fascinated by the ways digital spaces allow us to construct community, express authenticity, and exist beyond the constraints of the physical world.

Each pop-up plush sculpture contains embedded QR codes that unlock stories, memories, images, and online communities, transforming familiar objects into portals between tactile and digital experience. By merging soft sculpture with networked media, Bearcode examines how technology shapes identity, belonging, and self-expression, inviting viewers to reflect on the ways our online and offline lives continually inform one another.
